Functions of Union Parishad

1. Preparation of Panchshala and various term development plans.

2. Development, conservation and maintenance of rural infrastructure.

3. Relating to education and primary and mass education activities.

4. Implement health, family planning related activities.

5. To take necessary activities for agriculture, fisheries and livestock and economic development.
Take necessary steps for epidemic control and disaster management.

. Assignment and collection of taxes, fees, tolls, fees etc.
